Some know each other well, some are new faces, but they are family watching out for each other.
Our nomad-like crews travel, following the work and enduring the harsh weather, physically demanding work, and long hours, but they are not alone. They have those on their right and left to help them make their efforts a success.
And when the hard work is done, the superintendent will make the call - and all will point the needle - for home.
After the work is over our accomplished men and women will have established new friendships, while strengthened existing ties with those they have spent time with. When the call comes to head back out, they will reunite, catching up and preparing each other for the work ahead of them.
